Information related to COVID-19

The department has a robust policy related to containing epidemics and pandemics in the institutions. At this time, the department has preemptively implemented all applicable policies and procedures, and taking extra steps to keep inmates and staff as safe as possible. 

Visiting has been suspended at all institutions until further notice.

The Iowa Department of Corrections COVID-19 Hotline is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.  It is not available during the weekend or State holidays.
