Prison inmate Randy Noland dies 

(Coralville, IA) – Randy Lee Noland was pronounced dead due to natural causes at 11:56 a.m. on Friday, September 29, 2017 in a hospice room of the Iowa Medical and Classification Center where he had been housed due to chronic illness. Noland was 58 years old at the time of his death. 

Noland had been serving a 20-year maximum term for the crimes of habitual offender (property) and possession of a controlled substance - 3rd and subsequent offenses from Polk County. His sentence began on September 22, 2016.
