DES MOINES – The Iowa Department of Corrections has canceled all visitations on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025 at eight of the state’s nine correctional facilities due to hazardous winter weather conditions. The safety of staff, incarcerated individuals, and visitors remains our top priority.
At this time, the Clarinda Correctional Facility (CCF) is the only location that will remain open for scheduled visits on Saturday.
The DOC is actively monitoring the weather and road conditions across the state. A decision regarding Sunday visitation will be announced as soon as more information becomes available. Updates will be shared on the DOC website and social media channels.
The DOC appreciates the public’s patience and understanding as it works to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
