Prison Inmate Amel Lueth Dies
CORALVILLE – Amel Frederick Lueth was pronounced dead due to natural causes at 6:48 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2022 while in hospice at the Iowa Medical and Classification Center. Lueth was 73 years old at the time of his death.
Lueth had been serving a 30-year maximum term for multiple counts of Prohibited Acts-Mfg, Del, Consp or Poss-Marij LT 50 kg from Story County. His sentence began on May 31, 2012.
