Apply for Visiting
Before visiting or having a video call, you must be approved by the Iowa Department of Corrections. In order to be approved to visit, you submit the Visitor Application below:

Every adult must complete and submit a Visitor Application.
All minors must be registered on a Visitor Application submitted by their parent or legal guardian.

In your appeal letter please include all information you wish to have considered regarding your visitation denial.

Ameelio staff cannot approve or deny contacts, personal identification documents, or visits, as this is managed by facility staff. Please view the Iowa Department of Corrections Visiting Policy for more information on the DOC application and visiting process.
