How Do I Visit an Offender?

Before visiting or having a video call, you must be approved by the Iowa Department of Corrections. Follow these steps:

• Complete a Visitor Application:
  • English Visitor Application
  • Spanish Visitor Application
• Important Notes:
  • Every adult visitor must submit their own application.
  • Minors must be listed on a Visitor Application completed by their parent or legal guardian.
  • Electronic applications are not accepted. Applications must be printed, signed, and mailed to:
    • Mount Pleasant Correctional Facility
      Attn: Central Records
      1200 E. Washington St.
      Mount Pleasant, IA 52641
