Prison Inmate Richard Davis Dies
CORALVILLE – Richard J Davis was pronounced dead due to natural causes at approximately 9:10 a.m. on Monday, February 13, 2023 while in hospice at the Iowa Medical and Classification Center where he had been housed due to chronic illness. Davis was 85 years old at the time of his death.
Davis had been serving a 50-year maximum term for the crime of Murder - 2nd Degree from Monroe County. His sentence began on November 26, 2012.
