ANAMOSA, Iowa – Travis Eugene Alve was pronounced dead at 12:29 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at the Anamosa State Penitentiary. Alve was 42 years old at the time of his death.
Alve had been serving a 55-year term for the crime of Sexual Abuse, 2nd Degree from Chickasaw County. His sentence began on Feb. 23, 2006.
An autopsy is pending at the State Medical Examiners to determine the cause of death. Foul play is not suspected at this time.
