Any person may report concerns of sexual violence and/or sexual misconduct on behalf of an IDOC incarcerated individual/client either verbally or in writing to:

  • The Warden / Superintendent or District Director
  • Any IDOC employee
  • The Victim and Restorative Justice Director

There is zero tolerance for sexual assault and sexual abuse.

Immediately report any incidents of sexual abuse or sexual harassment to staff or management. You have the right to be free from sexual violence / sexual misconduct and to be free from retaliation for reporting such incidents. Pursuant to IDOC Policy PREA-02, the Department will immediately investigate all reports of sexual violence / sexual misconduct and monitor for any retaliation of reporting. Trained IDOC Investigators will conduct administrative investigations as appropriate. Any investigations that may involve criminal conduct will be referred to appropriate law enforcement agencies for criminal investigation where necessary.
