FORT MADISON, Iowa – William Stephen Brandow, Jr. was pronounced dead at 8:35 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 18, 2024 at the Iowa State Penitentiary. Brandow was 60 years old at the time of his death.
Brandow had been serving a life sentence out of a conviction in Polk County and a 25-year sentence out of a conviction in Marion County. His sentence began on Jan. 14, 2005.
