CORALVILLE, Iowa – Michael Linn Schawitsch was pronounced dead at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, 2025 in a hospice room of the Iowa Medical and Classification Center. Schawitsch was 61 years old at the time of his death.
Schawitsch had been serving a 42-year term for crimes from Lee County. His sentence began on March 7, 2000.
