ANAMOSA, Iowa – Michael Magnus Havenstein was pronounced dead at 9:39 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2026 at Anamosa State Penitentiary. Havenstein was 65 years old at the time of his death.
Havenstein had been serving for crimes from Dubuque County. His sentence began on March 19, 1997.
