CORALVILLE, Iowa – Timothy Duane Smith was pronounced dead at 8:17 a.m. on Sept. 9, 2025 in the palliative care unit of the University of Iowa Health Care Medical Center. Smith was 59 years old at the time of his death.
Smith had been serving for crimes from Cass County. His sentence began on Aug. 9, 2018.
