CLARINDA, Iowa â€“ The Iowa Department of Corrections (DOC) and the Clarinda Correctional Facility (CCF) are reinstating all in-person visitation, effective Jan. 31, 2026.

The suspension of visitation was made on Dec. 30, 2025, and after a comprehensive security review was completed and enhanced screening protocols were implemented, visitation has returned to normal at CCF.

The safety of the facility is the primary concern. The DOC and CCF appreciate everyone's cooperation as it worked to maintain a secure environment.

The DOC appreciates the public’s patience and understanding as it worked to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

A reminder that three visitors are allowed per visit, and you can visit CCF's home page for all information on visitation.
