FORT MADISON, Iowa – Thomas M. Kane was pronounced deat at 10:17 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 27, 2026 due to natural causes at the Iowa State Penitentiary. Kane was 82 years old at the time of his death.
Kane had been serving for crimes from Pottawattamie County. His sentence began on Jan. 27, 1981.
