Death of inmate Madison reported in Coralville
Coralville, Iowa — An inmate at the Iowa Medical and Classification Center died on the hospice unit at 5:50 a.m. on Monday, September 21, 2026.
Lewis Edward Madison Jr., age 80, was serving for crimes committed in Polk County.
Madison's sentence began on January 7, 2013.
