Death of inmate Edwards reported in Coralville
Coralville, Iowa — An inmate at the Iowa Medical and Classification Center died on the hospice unit at 7:00 a.m. on Friday, September 25, 2026.
Robert Earl Edwards, age 64, was serving for crimes committed in Polk County.
Edwards's sentence began on May 4, 1992.
