In December 2014, the department opened the Turning Point Transitional Living House. Male offenders whose previously established disability benefits have been suspended due to confinement in jail, prison or a residential correctional facility will have the opportunity to live at the transitional house until their benefits are reinstated, allowing them to successfully transition back into the community.
Offenders with an assaultive/violent history will not be accepted. The house is not staffed, therefore offenders must be self-sufficient to be considered.
